For Candidates

If we wrote to you, it was not a mass email.

The few, not the many

We write to the people whose work fits the role. Not to a list.

For every search we read hundreds of profiles across North America and score each one against a written scorecard for one specific role: what will be built, at what stage, with which problems. You hear from us because what you have actually built matched, not because your title did. We do not send the same message to a thousand people, and we do not write twice if you say no.

Roles that fit the work you do, not the title you hold

The right role is the one where year two is better than year one.

We look for the match between what you have done and what the company needs done, at a stage where it will count. Before you decide anything, you get the company’s name, the role as the hiring manager described it, the compensation range when they have given one, and what we know about the team. If we do not know something, we say so.

We choose the roles we take, and you choose everything else

We take searches where the person hiring is the one deciding, the budget is real, and the role is written down.

That rules out a lot of postings. It also means that when we call, there is a real role, a real decision maker and a real timeline on the other end. Nothing about you is shared with a company until you say yes to that introduction. A “no” from you ends it, with no follow-up. We recruit for a fee, the company pays it, and we tell you so up front.

Privacy

Privacy and how to stop us

Where your information comes from.
Public professional profiles, public code you have published, public job-seeker posts, and licensed business databases. We do not scrape LinkedIn and we never collect email addresses from code repositories.
Why we wrote to you.
We are recruiting for a specific role and your public work matched it. We say which role and which company in the first message when we can, and always before any introduction.
What we store, and for how long.
Your name, public profile links, the public evidence we matched on, our notes and scores from any call with you, and the status of any introduction. We keep call notes for twenty-four months so we can come back to you for a role that fits, then delete them unless we have been in touch since. Nothing is shared with a company before you say yes to that introduction, and what we learned in a call for one company is never shown to another.
Stop any time.
Reply “no” to any message and we will not write again. Email louis@keystone-recruiting.com to see or delete what we hold about you; we answer within five business days.
